This, the place honestly doesn't look like much when you drive past. The thing is, I have been hearing the commercials on the radio of this eatery and wanted to try it out since we were in the area. Sadly, it wasn't up to the hype. First, the waitress came to our table 8 times during our 30-minute lunch to check on us. Way overboard. It's was distracting and annoying. Secondly, when I ordered, she then processed to bully me into the grill plates. Which was the specials for the day. My ribs were not prepped correctly. For start we s the back film that runs on the bottom of ribs should be removed. It was more st Louis style ribs. Full of gristle. My husband wanted the shrimp n grits, which is a staple in the south, and sadly, she tells us they aren't that style they are shrimp placed next to grits. So he got the pork chop plate. Both our meats you could tell was re heated. The meat was dry. At least it had seasoning. The backed beans tasted like reg ol canned bushes. I was so very disappointed. Plus, they took our card into the back room to process the payment. Out of our eyeshot. Would not recommend.

Such a a fabulous restaurant! The menu is varied - you can order food for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. The prices are quite reasonable too. The staff is very friendly (gave us complimentary fresh donut holes - Yum!). All the desserts are delicious and homemade. We were greeted by the owner. She was very sweet and gracious - made us feel welcome. If you want a pleasant and tasty dining experience while in New Bern, be sure to stop by the Country Biscuit!

I had the bacon, egg & cheese biscuit with a hash brown. The food was excellent- real eggs & fresh biscuits! Hash brown was delicious & not greasy like other places. They sell dog biscuits at the counter too. Great place!

A wonderful little local business with down to earth service where the manager will probably stop by and see how things are going. You must have their biscuits they truly are terrific. I wanted a customized order and it was no problem for them. Also you may get a chance to see their little automated delivery robot working with the waitress helping out. A must stop if you are in town.
