Do not get the affogato - for 7 dollars it's a disgusting rip off. The cup of coffee I ordered along with it is also weak as hell. The éclair was inedible. This is the biggest waste of ~$15 I ever spent.
Plus the place is freezing cold so had to take it to go. How does this place even have good ratings?!
Will not return and do not recommend. Would like a refund because everything went to the garbage.

Walked in to a small, Parisienne styled pastry shop. The gentleman behind the bar allowed us to peruse the pastry cases before approaching to take our order. We selected a magnificent Charlotte on a carrot cake base and crowned with house made whipped cream and a coconut tart. We also ordered a white chocolate mocha and a cappuccino.
The pastries were exquisite. The flavors were enhanced with the PERFECTLY made drinks! We requested short pulls on our espresso to avoid the acidic notes that most coffee and espresso drinkers enjoy. He executed them to perfection. Additionally, the taste had none of the stale flavor that comes from an incorrectly cleaned and maintained machine. All espresso, no gunk!
I was impressed and I am looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible.

We came here because it was highly rated. It was not the experience I expected based on the reviews. The lady taking our order was not pleasant. After 10 minutes of not getting our second drink, I had to ask about it, but it was still wasn't delivered or announced that it was ready only to later find out it had been sitting on the counter the whole time. The matcha latte was too sweet and had a strong smell. I'm not sure why this cafe has so many 5 star reviews; perhaps locals trying to support this business which I can appreciated, but unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations. In fairness, we only got drinks and did not try the pastries.
Update: The owner realized what happened with our second drink and made another one fresh and brought it to us. She was so kind and explained that it was an unusually hectic morning. She invited us to come back to give them another try which I plan to do.
