I’ve been a fan of Lee’s Country Kitchen in the past, but my most recent visit was deeply disappointing and far from what I’ve come to expect. From the moment we walked in, the service was unwelcoming and unprofessional, leaving the impression of a workforce that simply does not care.
The quality of the food also left much to be desired. The biscuit I was served was burned—an obvious oversight that should never have made it to the table. This, combined with the lack of attentiveness from the staff, made it clear that Lee’s is no longer striving to meet the standards they once upheld.
Greenville has no shortage of great dining options, and unfortunately, Lee’s Country Kitchen has fallen far behind. I hope they take steps to improve their service and food quality because, as it stands, there are far better options in the area.

I went there because I had a taste for a hot dog. A lady came from the cooking area and asked if she could help me. Due to only seeing breakfast items on the big menus, I asked her if they sold hot dogs. I don't think she understood me because she said, "Two hot dogs, how do you want them, anything else." She was strictly business and possibly due to working so hard, didn't have time to show any friendliness as she left me to go grab the dogs.
As I waited, I observed a political sign under the daily special menu that supported a political party. I'm not supportive of that party and got aggravated that a business would be so disrespectful of customers so that they boldly supported one candidate. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and walked over to the lady and asked her to cancel my order. She asked me why, butcI was too angry to respond in a Christian manner, so I just waved my hand asks said "that's alright" and went outside to get my phone to photograph the sign. When I got back to the front door, I realized they had the same sign on the door which I failed to see upon entering.
I know business owners may have their own political beliefs, but when you advertise it and show disrespect to all of those who don't have the same beliefs, I can't spend my money there in good faith.
I went elsewhere and purchased hot dogs, a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink.
My purchase was not going to be much, but I refuse to spend a penny in an establishment like this. The election will be over in a couple of months, but I will never patronize this store again!

Lee’s Country Kitchen is a cozy, nostalgic gem. From the moment you see the quaint building, you’re transported back in time. Inside, it’s like stepping into your grandparents’ attic (but in a good way!)—antique treasures and yesteryear charm are everywhere. The staff greet you like old friends, adding warmth to the experience.
The food? Classic, hearty, and satisfying—just what you’d hope for in a country kitchen. Sure, the building itself might not win any beauty contests, but don’t let that fool you. What it lacks in modern aesthetics, it more than makes up for with its inviting atmosphere, incredible customer service, and food that hits the spot.
So, if you’re looking for a down-to-earth dining experience that feels like home (with better cooking), Lee’s Country Kitchen is worth a visit. It’s proof that the best things in life don’t need a fancy package—just heart, history, and a really good biscuit.

Love their cornbread, it is moist and thick, kinda like a cake.
So many entrees to choose from, bbq, hamburgers steak, fried chicken.... etc...
Their side is hit and miss, some of them taste like it is from a can, like their yam and green beans.
Locals love to stop by for lunch in this little store.
Their decorations are very antique like a cracker barrel, but it is authentic.
